As its name indicates, Grating World (formerly Platform Access Systems) manufactures branded hand-railing (RAILEX), slip-resistant floor plate (FLOOREX) with a distinctive “boomerang” pattern, and grating (GRATEX) to suit the needs of safety conscious end-users in industry.

The product range is offered in stainless steel, carbon steel and composites (FRP).

Its most recent product additions are FORGEWELD™ GW40™ and GRATELOK™ GL40™ grating.  Both offer an economical solution in non-aggressive environments.  FORGEWELD™ GW40™ is produced by fusion-welding and pressure to form structurally rigid grating units, whereas GRATELOK™ GL40™ utilises swaging (crimping) of transverse bars to provide structural integrity without welding.
